Here you can also see the beautiful Misericórdia Church, the City Hall and the statue of an important “Aveirense” – José Estevão, a figure of extreme importance in the political context of the 19th century, during which profound changes took place in Portuguese society.
Continuing our tour, you will be able to observe the beautiful Casa de Santa Zita – an old 19th century palace of the Visconde da Granja, the Aveiro Museum – housed in the former Convent of Jesus of the Feminine Dominican Order, and whose prestige was definitively associated with the presence of Princess Santa Joana, and the Cathedral of Aveiro.
