A new edition of the March Fair is almost here! This year, it will begin on March 25th and end on April 27th, 2025.
This fair is held at the Aveiro Exhibition Park, where it has been a huge success. The attractions include not only the famous merry-go-rounds that attract the youngest, but also the pavilions with companies representing various sectors, all the handicrafts, food and drink stalls and, of course, all the artists who perform at weekends and attract crowds.

Now that you know what this fair is all about today, let us tell you a bit about its history.
The March Fair began its first edition several centuries ago, with the main goal of being a meeting point for merchants, farmers, and artisans from all over the Aveiro District.
Initially focused on trade and the exhibition of agricultural products, the fair began to evolve, incorporating entertainment, live performances, technology and car exhibitions, and everything you can imagine. This way, it is possible to see the evolution of society and the economy in the region.
The fair not only highlights the cultural identity of the city of Aveiro but also strengthens the economic, tourism, and social development of both the city and district.

For visitors, this is a place full of good memories and experiences with family and friends that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s for the fun, the delicious food available on-site, or the visit to the numerous stands that are present at the fair’s pavilions.
This year’s 2025 program includes a diverse music lineup, with various concerts taking place in the Music Tent. These concerts happen on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays, starting at 10:00 PM, except for the “Arraial” with Portuguese folk music artists, which starts at 3:00 PM.
As for entry to the fair, it is free except on Fridays, Saturdays, and Easter Monday. Ticket prices range from €3 to €6, depending on the performing artist. Children up to 10 years old, inclusive, enter always for free.
The free entry on Sundays remains an initiative to encourage spending the day with family and/or friends, providing a unique Sunday experience.
